Alex Johnson Productions announces the completion and release of a powerful new video:

[WTC - 9/11: 5th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Music Video] commemorating the events at the World Trade Center in New York, NY on September 11, 2001. The 6 minute music video and accompanying web site have been created to honor those whose lives were lost and as a tribute to those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day. "It's really for everyone who was moved by the events of 9/11." - Michelle LeMarbre. The video and music focuses on the occasion by melding the intense emotions, shock, and sheer disbelief of what was witnessed on that fateful day in 2001. The music video is available for free downloading in both high-speed and dial-up formats at: www.wtc911.us . The web site also serves as a comprehensive portal for information regarding the events of 9/11.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Producer, Composer, Musician and Internet Marketing Consultant Alex Johnson began developing the idea for this video in the spring of 2006. While listening to some of his earliest compositions, he had a vision of the attacks on 9/11 and realized that he needed to mark the anniversary in a way that would bring the shock and horror of that day back again in an emotional way. He realized that this piece of music would bring it all together in a way that was appropriate to the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the attack. After months of research and planning he subsequently gathered an enormous library of both well-known and other more rare and overlooked video clips surrounding the events of 9/11. Combined with the instrumental piece titled "The Color Was Blue" from one of Johnson's first albums - Music for Earth Orbit - he produced the tribute video "WTC - 9/11" - a tribute for the 5th anniversary of the tragic events of that day.

ABOUT ALEX JOHNSON

Alex Johnson began playing violin at the age of 10 inspired by a Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance of Beethoven's Violin Concerto. During his training at University of Utah Department of Music he played violin in both orchestras and chamber orchestras, favoring earlier classical music styles. As he worked his way through music school, additional musical influences began changing his life. His work while at music school included hosting music events for the music department. After leaving music school and his violin studies, Alex began playing in rock bands again in the Seattle area, in the early 1980's. He took an active part in the Seattle heavy metal music scene which at that time included Queensryche, Sanctuary, Fifth Angel, Metal Church etc. Alex began recording and developing his own style of music, blending electric bass guitar with electronic effects, violin melodies and classical harmonies. This music would lead to his first independent music releases in 1991.

Releases by Alex Johnson include:

Music For Earth Orbit / Space Music

The Traffic Jam Suite / Ambient Music For On Or Off The Road

Orpheus / Early Music

Drive 55 / Soothing Cruising
